Dr. Aaron Kang, D.D.S
Dr. Aaron Kang is one of the co-founders of Aloha Family Dentistry. Dr. Kang came to California initially to volunteer to help the homeless at a mission. He was always known to have a big heart and enjoyed volunteering his time to help the less fortunate. He eventually saw a career in dentistry and enrolled at the Ostrow School of Dentistry at USC. There, he met Dr. Nguyen and the two became close friends. Dr. Kang mastered his skills during dental school and continued to volunteer time out of his busy schedule to provide dental care to people that could not afford it. He went on international trips to work in free community clinics all around the world. Dr. Kang enjoys working with kids, as nothing makes him happier than to see a child smile. Following graduation, Dr. Kang immediately began his professional career working at several practices. Through his work experience, he became a well rounded general dentist and eventually sought to open his own practice with Dr. Nguyen. He is continually educating himself & his staff on the newest techniques & advances to offer you state-of the-art, antiseptic, personalized & comfortable dental care. Dr. Kang grew up in Hawaii and in his spare time, he enjoys surfing, listening to reggae, and volunteering his time to teach at his alma mater, the Ostrow School of Dentistry, where he is a faculty member. Dr. Kang continues to live the aloha life and hopes that someday, everyone has the aloha spirit in them as well!
Dr. Andrew Le Nguyen, D.D.S
Dr. Andrew Nguyen is also the co-founder of the Aloha Family Dentistry. As an undergrad, Dr. Nguyen studied at the University of Southern California and obtained his B.S in Biomedical Engineering. He worked as a laboratory technician for several years before realizing that his calling was to provide health services for people. He continued his professional training at the prestigious Ostrow School of Dentistry at the University of Southern California, where he met his partner and co-founder of Aloha Family Dentistry, Dr. Kang. After graduating, Dr. Nguyen worked at the USC+ Los Angeles County General Hospital as a Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Intern for two months. During his time at USC + LAC General Hospital, he honed his skills for extraction and patient care. Since then, Dr. Nguyen has been continually expanding his knowledge on all things dentistry through continued education. He is soon to be a faculty at Western University College of Dentistry. In his spare time, Dr. Nguyen is a tennis enthusiast, who competed amongst the top players when he was a junior. He enjoys rooting for his alma mater in all things, especially football. Dr. Nguyen is extremely caring and embodies the aloha spirit well. Fight on Dr. Nguyen!
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon
Dr. Anh Dao Le, D.D.S, Ph.D
We are extremely proud to have Dr. Le as a member of our team. Dr. Le obtained her D.D.S at UCLA School of Dentistry and went on to complete her Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery certificate and Ph.D in Oral Biology at UCLA as well. Since then, she has become a prominent member in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery community. She was voted Woman of the Year in Dentistry in 1992 at UCLA. She completed her fellowship training at Martin Luther King Hospital and quickly became a Tenured Associate Professor at the University of Southern California, Division of Endodontics, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Orthodontics. In 2011, she became Chair and Norman Vine Endowed Professor of Oral Rehabilitation Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery/Pharmacology at the University of Pennsylvania, where she continues to push for the advancement of clinical research in the field of Oral Surgery. She has published several articles on the use of mesenchymal stem cells for wound healing along with several papers on Bisphosphonate related oseteonecrosis of the jaw (BRONJ). Along with being an accomplished researcher, Dr. Le also is an accomplished surgeon. She enjoys continually learning new techniques as well as questioning the current standard, always looking to elevate and raise the standard of care in the field. On her off time, Dr. Le is a loving mother who enjoys cooking and relaxing with her family. She has two children that she loves above all else. Dr. Le is a welcome member to the Aloha Family and we love having her!
